Happy Spring, friends! I am so glad that the weather is finally warm and I don't have to wear a coat. I have been loving the time I get to spend outside both for work and leisure. Seriously, aside from spring allergies its been perfect. << read more here >>

As the weather changes, so have my activities during my free time. With the snow, wind, rain, and cold I was NOT interested in going for walks or getting much exercise outside. Now that I can bear the outdoor temps, I've been trying to go for walks as often as I can and get a jog in here and there. I've also been doing some yoga with the windows open and the sound of birdsong is so relaxing. I feel cheesy typing that, but its so true!

I wanted to share a few tips on refreshing your routine as the weather refreshes itself too! I personally feel like the best way to embrace life is to change your habits with the seasons, like nesting or spring cleaning, etc. With springtime I like to adopt the motto, "out with the old, in with the new!" Today I want to let you guys in on the three ways that I am refreshing my routine this month, and hopefully they can inspire change for you as well.

1. Exercise
This is so important for a new season. It gets you outside and it gives you a chance to shake off the cobwebs! Whether you go for a jog, use workout stations in your local park, do some sunrise yoga, or simply walk around the block exercise wakes up and works your muscles and gets the blood flowing. Sometimes in the winter we adopt a sedentary lifestyle and that isn't healthy! We need to get active and take care of ourselves. << Check out this yoga tutorial I shared a little while ago. >>

Want to make the exercise more fun? Grab a new workout outfit! I love these pants from Koral because not only are they stylish but they are unbelievably comfortable and lightweight. I'm wearing the Double Layer Netz Sweatpant in Marsala. Be sure to look at all the items they carry because its all so cute!

2. Veggies
Whether you start making more salads, or eat more broccoli, or start making green smoothies in the morning you need to get those vitamins and minerals! Our bodies need more than burgers, pizza, and sweets from all the winter holidays. We need to wake up our digestive system with a little bit of spring goodness!

Need some ideas? Try juicing an apple, celery, cucumber, kale, and lemon. Or blend together some spinach, frozen banana, pineapple, chia seeds, and cucumber. Both are so tasty and will give your immune system, digestive system, and all the other systems a jolt of energy and healing.

3. Grow + Nurture
Plant a garden. Nurture some succulents or herbs on the window sill. Give your home a little loving by cleaning and throwing out the old junk that clutters throughout the winter. Take your dog for a walk or play catch in the park. When you spend time giving love and attention to plants, animals, and your space you'll start to feel the growth and uplifting nature of spring all around you!

  1. I love that you included growing a garden! The turn of a new season always gets me in the mood to refresh my outdoor space and to plant some plants. I've picked up a few, I just need to go grab a few more!

  2. Going outside to exercise has been SOOOOOOO nice! I've been switching up my gym sessions a lot for a jogging session outside by the water instead and it makes me so happy.

I know it's cliche but a good clear out of the fridge and pantry has been amazing too!
