Our Trip To Waco, TX.

Hello friends! A few days ago I had the opportunity to head down to Waco, TX with my mom and one of our mutual friends to visit Magnolia Market and the Silos! We had such a nice time.

We surprised my mom with a ticket for Mother's Day/her birthday because she LOVES Chip & Joanna Gaines from HGTV's Fixer Upper and Abby's birthday was on Monday so it was like a big celebration for everyone!

We flew down Sunday morning and came home Tuesday evening so while the trip was short, it was just enough time to visit and check a few places out. We got to shop, try some baked goods from the Silos Baking Co., and spent an afternoon just soaking in the sunshine and having lunch at the food trucks.

After we landed in Dallas, we found the cutest little restaurant called Flower Child. It was delicious and had so many vegetarian/vegan options. Sunday night we tried a new Indian restaurant that was okay (you can't win 'em all!) and then we checked into our AirBnB. It was so cute!

Monday we got up nice and early and got to the silos before they even opened. We didn't want to have to wait in line and I am so glad that we got there when we did. By 10am it was pretty crowded. We started off with coffee and pastries from the bakery, then we took photos, shopped, and had lunch at the food trucks. Afterwards we went down the road to check out an antique store and then we headed back to the house.

After a little bit of rest, we went back to the silos (my mom had some Christmas shopping to do!) while Abby and I went to Dichotomy Coffee & Spirits to celebrate Abby's birthday. After that we met up with my mom again and visited a few boutiques and the Spice Village. It was a cool place with several vendors selling Waco, TX gear, candles and soaps, vintage & home decor, clothes, jewelry, etc. I got a cute ceramic planter, a card for Mark, and a ban.do coffee tumblr.

We ended the evening with dinner at the Twisted Root Burger Co. and movies at the house. (Has anyone seen Lion yet? So good, but oh so emotional!)

Tuesday we got up early, packed our stuff, got coffee at Common Grounds (yum), had acai bowls at Oh My Juice, and said goodbye to Waco. Overall, it was a lovely little trip and I definitely think that anyone who visits will have a nice time.
