Spiced Cold Brew

I am so excited for today's post. I'm sharing one of my favorite ways to make cold brew coffee, a recipe I know all the coffee drinkers will love! It requires only a few ingredients and a fool-proof method for making cold brew. I'm using my new cold brew coffee maker from Willow + Everett!

For this recipe, I'm using coffee from Square One Coffee located in both Philadelphia and Lancaster, PA. They're all about the small batch, handcrafted approach to coffee roasting. Their motto is simply put, "We are passionate about coffee and believe people matter." Mark and I both love visiting their shop in Lancaster when we're in town!

Making cold brew with the Willow & Everett cold brew maker is really simple. All you need to do is grind your coffee on a course setting (if it's too fine it will make your coffee cloudy), add 1/3 of the coffee to the mesh filter, add 1/4 tsp of cardamom and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon to the filter, pour cold water (about 12 oz.) over the coffee in the filter to begin filling the pitcher, then add remaining coffee to the filter and pour another 20 oz. of water until the pitcher is almost full. Place the cap back on the pitcher and store in the fridge for 12-20 hours.

After the coffee has brewed, pour yourself a cup over ice, add 1 tsp of maple syrup, half-and-half, and stir. If you wanted a little more of a spice taste you could add a dash of cinnamon and stir it in with the syrup and half-and-half. When you empty your cold brew coffee maker, be sure to hand wash in warm water immediately and dry. Want to win your own cold brew maker from Willow + Everett? Enter here!
