a favorite thanksgiving recipe

This week is THANKSGIVING! Woo!
Tonight I made my favorite thanksgiving dish for dinner. I was a little impatient to wait for Thursday, but that's okay. I don't mind eating green bean casserole twice in one week! It's a super simple recipe and only requires a few ingredients. In total, a serving size that can feed 6 only took me about 35 minutes to make! And did I say it was delicious?

Here is what you'll need:
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
-12 oz sliced baby bella mushrooms
- 1/4 onion, sliced
- 24 oz green beans (I used frozen french cut)
-1 container of cream of mushroom soup (11 oz)
- 1/2 cup water
-fried onion pieces
- shredded cheese

Preheat the oven for 375 degrees. Heat oil and butter in a large heavy skillet; add mushrooms and sauté until soft and lightly browned. Add chopped onions and sauté together until onions are translucent.
Next add the green beans and sauté everything together until warm.

After that, in a separate saucepan, heat the water and soup together until mixed and warm.
Add part of the green bean mix to a casserole dish, then drizzle some of the soup over top.
Add another layer of green beans and drizzle the rest of the soup.

Add shredded cheese and a few handfuls of the fried onion pieces to the top.
Bake for 15-20 minutes.

Yum!
