fancy eggs.

Looking for some fun and creative ways to decorate eggs for Easter? Well, look no further. I have two different tutorials on unique ways to dye Easter eggs that my mom and I are going to try out this weekend!

This tutorial is pretty awesome because its dye free, and super natural! You can use leaves, grass, or flowers, and then you wrap up the eggs in onion skin, cooked for about fifteen minutes, and then cleaned off. Viola!

Aren't they pretty?? Click the link above for more details on how to prepare these eggs!
(My mom and I are using coconut oil instead of the bacon to add the shiny finish at the end)

The second great idea is dying eggs with silk ties!
This looks super fun and gives you an excuse to make a stop at Salvation Army or Goodwill.  I think that my mom and I are going to attempt to make these tomorrow. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes.

If you try either of these, be sure to leave comments below and let me know how it works out! I'm excited to see if they turn out as well as the pictures from the tutorial. Happy Easter weekend!

The results are in! I decorated eggs with onion shells this morning and here is what I got:

I used brown eggs so the designs weren't as noticeable, but there are outlines of leaves and flower petals on a few and darker shades where I used red onion skins instead of the tan ones. It was a lot harder than it looked, but really fun!
