thankful.

thankful.
adjective \ˈthaŋk-fəl\
:glad that something has happened or not happened, that someone exists, etc.

As we all can remember, the Thanksgiving holiday was last week. I hope you all enjoyed spending time with your family and friends! If you weren't able to go home for the holiday, or had no one to spend it with, my deepest apologies! I hope you were able to still have a good day and find things you are thankful for. There is so much, like living in a free country and being able to express yourself; having the ability to work and get an education; having friends and family that love and care about you;  and the little things, like a cup of coffee or your favorite song playing on the radio.

I know it's been a week, but I want to take time to say how truly thankful I am for you. Whether you're a family member, friend, classmate, or just someone who happened to stumble across A Tiny Traveler. Thank you for being a part of my life, in person or via the internet :) You're awesome!

Here are a few pictures from my Thanksgiving break that I'd like to share as well:

I threw a "Friendsgiving" party in my apartment right before break.

Mr. Gettis: a true hero. He's been fighting lung cancer the past couple of months and by the grace of God, he's been beating it. The people at Penn Medicine are wonderful and have helped him so much with their treatment. He is an inspiration to me, that even when life throws you a curveball, stay positive and know that God's will trumps all. He holds us all in His hands and we don't have to be fearful of the future.
I helped my friend Matt out with a video project right before break. It was pretty neat, and we just looked so awesome so I couldn't resist a picture!

I also had the opportunity to be in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade, sponsored by Dunkin Donuts, this year! It was so much fun. I rode on the Penn Medicine Float with Mark's family and it was an experience I'll never forget!

this cutie pie! (pun-intended) ;)
It was also my Grandma's birthday on Thanksgiving this year. I love her so very much and I am incredibly thankful that I got to see her on her birthday!

These friends of mine are wonderful, talented people that I am blessed to know.

And of course, my mother. What a beautiful, gracious inspiration.
