tomato sauce.

I love to cook! I should post more recipes to share with you guys. So, here's one that was super simple and quite tasty!

Easy Tomato Sauce
Start to Finish: 20 Minutes
Makes: 4 Side-Dish Servings

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onion (1 medium)
4 cloves of garlic, minced
2 lb. ripe roma tomatoes or other tomatoes, coarsely chopped, seeded
1/2 cup dry red wine
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons snipped fresh basil
6 oz dried pasta
shredded parmesan cheese (optional)

1. For sauce, in a large saucepan heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion; cook about 4 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in garlic; cook and stir for 1 minute more.

2. Add tomatoes, wine, rosemary sprigs, salt, and pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, about 8 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened. Discard rosemary sprigs. Stir in basil.

3. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions. Serve tomato sauce over pasta. If desired, top with shredded Parmesan cheese.

Enjoy!
