Things I Tried in 2018 Good Enough for 2019

So every year, month, week, sometimes every day we try a new product or service or experience that we haven't tried before. There is just so much out there! In the last year I feel like I've tried a lot and only a few things were good enough (to me, anyway) to carry over into the 2019 year.

First up, we have style. A few things that I tried last year that I felt were good enough to continue using/buying in 2019 are as follows-

Monat Haircare. If you follow me on Instagram or we're Facebook friends then I'm sure you've seen a thing or two about this AMAZING shampoo and conditioner. I'm serious, this stuff has changed my life! You can find out more about it here. I thought I had nice hair before, but Monat has improved it beyond compare. Seriously friends- its cruelty free, no harsh chemicals or fillers,

You might be thinking "You only say its amazing because you sell it, Natalie." Well, that's not entirely true. Yes, becoming a Market Partner is a great way to make a little bit of an extra income- same as Essential Oils and LipSense (both products that work well and do what they say they'll do). But when I noticed the results I knew I needed to share it with people. Its caused new hair growth, a beautiful shine, and fullness. I already have thick hair, but now its manageable and full. I look good, if I do say so myself!

The other thing I love about it is that its pretty concentrated so the products last for months! The price makes sense when you break it down because they are such high quality products. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask me about it! There are so many different systems for different hair types.

Glossier. I'm sure you've seen ads for this makeup brand or maybe you even use it. I love love love their cloud paint and praised boy-brow. Definitely a brand I will shop from again and again. If you use my link you can get 10% off your order too! Shop Here.

Dazey LA. This brand is so much fun! They stand for equality and love us ladies! The clothes that they sell are so cute and totally my favorite style (modern with a mix of 70s flair). Use the code ATINYTRAVELER to save 10% on your own DAZEY LA outfit or tee!

SCOUT Bags! I love this company and all their products. They're so stylish, sturdy, + well made and there are so many different styles and sizes, too. I have 3 bags- The Weekender, The Plus 1 two-in-one foldable travel bag, and The Original Deano. They also have gift bags that I've used in the past and can't wait to use again! You may have seen me do campaigns with them in the past and I keep sharing about them because I just really love what they have! Check them out here.

You can also use the code SCOUT-NG to save 20% on your order. That's a pretty good deal if you ask me!

Alright next up, health! I've tried a handful of things that claim to be great for my health and the world's next best thing, but only a few of them stuck.

The first is Thrive Market. I've been using this site for months now and I love it. All the best brands and items that I already buy at the grocery store, except Thrive offers them on sale and sometimes in bulk! If you're a fan of Simple Mills, Bob's Red Mill, Pacific, and Amy's Organic then you're in luck because these are some of the MANY popular brands that Thrive Market offers.

You can save 25% on your already reduced order with my link here. Let me know what you think if you decide to try it out!

The other habit I picked up last year was journaling. Its been so helpful to just have a space to spill all my thoughts and prayers and feelings. Sort of like a brain dump! Its been great and a practice I will definitely continue into this new year.

One other thing I started towards the end of 2018 was going to a mental health professional. My therapist is great and its been so nice having someone to talk to about my emotions and the loss I've experienced over the last few years and my cancer experience. Seriously, if you've been thinking about going to talk to a therapist I think you should give it a try! I know sometimes there can be a stigma around mental health professionals or going to see one but you really don't have anything to lose.

Now, I could go on but I think this list is pretty comprehensive. Leave a comment below and share what you've tried out last year and will continue to use in 2019! I would love to check them out.

  1. I've heard of Monat, and I've been curious about if I would like the way it works with my curls. I currently use Rahua products, but I think I'll check them out!
