Easy Summer Style

July 2018 // By Natalie Jean

Happy Independence Day! I had meant to post this yesterday but we are visiting family and that took precedence. I totally lost track of time and didn't get around to this post until now. In either case, I'm so excited to share this look with you.

I don't do too many fashion posts on A Tiny Traveler, but when I do its because I am loving the outfit. This particular outfit is one that (while not the typical red, white, and blue) can be worn again and again- even on the 4th of July.

I found this dress at Old Navy and can't get enough! Its soft, flowy, and lightweight (three qualities I look for in summer wear). It pairs so well with so many things- white tennis shoes, sandals, a denim jacket, a cardigan, etc.

For this look, a look that I have worn at least half a dozen times this summer, I'm pairing the dress with a pair of white sneakers, gold earrings, and a cute hair scarf.

Fun fact: this scarf was in the dollar section of Target and labeled as a "purse scarf." I've gotten so much use out of it around my neck, in my hair, around my wrist... and it was only $3! How great is that?

Another fun fact: I found these sneakers on sale at Target for $8! They were new in the springtime so it makes sense that they'd be on sale now. I highly recommend making a trip quickly to your nearest Target because I doubt they'll last long at this price! Especially because the quality is so great.

I hope you all enjoy your Independence Day, whether out with friends, family, or some quality time at home! I'm so thankful for our freedoms and hope that you take some time to not only celebrate today but give thanks as well.

  1. I love how you did the scarf on your bun! I can never get mine to lay right when I tie them around as a headband, but I've never thought to do it this way!

  2. I love how simple and comfortable this outfit looks! Seeing that I live in TX anything that is light weight is a must so I don't die from swearing.

    1. Oh man! I can't imagine what summers in Texas are like. We had a heat wave last weekend (about 100 and humid every day) and it was brutal!

    1. Thank you Jess! Yeah, haha, I try to make style realistic and comfortable but also cute and flattering! I hate when I try to do a summer style and it has layers or shoes I can't walk in. 😂
