One thing that I love about summertime is how creative you can get with refreshing drinks, like lemonade! Today I am so excited to share this recipe for Strawberry Mint Lemonade as well as a free printable for you to make an at home "lemonade stand" for your next party or as a fun project with kids!
For this recipe, I only needed a few ingredients at I got them with the help of Giant's Peapod services. Ordering with them was a breeze, and I seriously recommend you check it out. One thing that's neat about their service is you get $20 off first Peapod order and 60 days of free delivery. (and then afterwards you can just get a PodPass to have unlimited free deliveries for one low annual fee!) They offer fresh, quality products, priced fairly and delivered with friendly and reliable service. We got a few different items on our grocery list, including a 12-pack of Minute Maid® Lemonade for the Strawberry Mint Lemonade. The man who delivered our order was the sweetest!
If you want to try out Peapod but aren't sure where to start, don't worry. I've taken a few screen shots to share with you to show you how easy and fast it truly is.
First, you'll type in your zip code to see if they deliver to your neighborhood, then select home or business, and then start shopping! Search for the items you need, add them to your cart, and then check out. It's really easy, and if they don't have what you need, they make recommendations on similar items.
I also love that you can modify your order up until 1 day before the delivery! Grocery shopping has never been so simple and convenient.
Getting my Minute Maid from Peapod made creating this recipe so simple and enjoying summer refreshments a breeze! My family loves the recipe I've created with the lemonade, and I know you will as well.
You'll need:
Minute Maid Lemonade 12 Pack Cans
6-10 strawberries, stems/leaves removed and macerated
1-2 stems of chopped mint leaves
First, prepare your strawberries. You can either chop them up and mash them with a fork in a bowl or quarter them and put them in a mason jar with a tightly fitting lid and shake vigorously for 60 seconds. I chose the second option, because who doesn't love a good arm workout?
Next, pluck mint leaves off of their stems and coarsely chop. Add to serving pitcher.
Then add the strawberries to the pitcher.
Next add as many cans of lemonade that will fit into your pitcher.
You can either serve over ice immediately (won't be as minty) or let steep in the refrigerator for about 3-4 hours. Be sure to enjoy within 2-3 days for optimal freshness!
This drink is the perfect summertime treat and a perfect addition to your family party, backyard BBQ's, or your child's lemonade stand. Its like summertime in a glass!
