Staycation: Boiling Springs, PA

Mark and I love traveling! If we could go somewhere every weekend we would. Unfortunately that just isn't in our budget... yet. Until then, we love having little "staycations"in our area or towns nearby.

Today I wanted to share about a few fun things to do in Boiling Springs, PA. To be honest I never even new this town had anything to offer because I was always just passing through. Last weekend Mark and I decided to stop by and spend some time there and I am so glad we did!

We stopped by Chipotle and got our lunch to-go and then ate by the lake. It was so relaxing and a great way to just spend some casual time together. After lunch and watching the ducks swim on Children's Lake, we walked around and stopped by some shops and got some ice cream.

The handful of things you might find are galleries, antique shops, some quaint restaurants including The Barn at Allenberry (a new favorite), and TCO Fly Shop where you can get gear for hiking, fishing, and even rent canoes to take out on the lake! It was starting to rain a little after we finished lunch so we plan to go back another day and rent a canoe for a nice afternoon activity.

The next time you're in the area, be sure to stop by Boiling Springs and enjoy some of the local favorites! I highly recommend a Sunday brunch at The Barn at Allenberry. Absolutely delicious!
