My Morning Routine.

Hey friends! Today I wanted to share my morning routine with you all, as well as a fun new product review with AdoreBox. Their products were shipped to me complimentary, in an exchange for an honest review. Keep scrolling for a coupon code so you can try AdoreBox yourself!

I'm up by 8:30am and I always have to start my day with coffee. Duh. Lately I've been making breakfast more of a priority as well, because my day always seems to be more productive when I get up and have breakfast. I sort of fell out of the habit of eating breakfast in college. It was either a granola bar, half a bagel, or nothing. Lately I've really been enjoying avocado toast with salt, pepper, and paprika or a bowl of cereal with almond milk. If I have the time, I might even make banana pancakes! Super easy + healthy, too!

Next I brush my teeth, drink a glass of water (I'm always thirsty in the am), and wash my face. Currently I am using either a homemade oatmeal scrub or St. Ive's Apricot scrub. I tend to go back and forth because I get bored easily!

Now come the tunes! I alternate between Spotify playlists and vinyl. As far as spotify goes I usually turn on my "Thursday" playlist or my "Oakmoss Spring" playlist. I've also been going back and forth between our Billy Joel record and A Great Big Pile of Leaves. I love having a record player in our apartment.

I always make sure to play with our cat, Fern, in the morning too. I was just asleep for 6+ hours so she's in need of attention. She almost reminds me of a dog because she loves playing fetch and basically sprinting around the house. She is so stinking cute!

I get dressed and then next comes the girly stuff. Hair and makeup. Typically I don't do too much if I'm working from home/going grocery shopping/don't have plans. But if I plan to go out or visit a friend or get some shopping done then I put a little more effort. I am in the process of growing my bangs out so finding a cute hairstyle is a little tricky at times, if I'm not wearing it down. As far as makeup goes, I usually do a more natural look. Adore Box sent me some fun new items to try out including Rimmel Exaggerate Full Color Lip Liner and Queens Lyfe Star Glow Highlighter.  I matched the liner with one of my favorite Albeit lipsticks from Anthropologie. I always seem to get more done when I am dressed and ready to go, rather than hanging out in PJ's or sweats all day.

Adore Box is a pretty neat subscription service because you get to try out new and unique products! I loved the lip liner, and I also liked the energy mints and coconut oil nourishing deep conditioner that came in the shipment as well. The feature item (highlighter) wasn't in a color that matched my skin tone, but the shimmer was definitely evident and I love that its cruelty free, is hypo allergenic, and is paraben free.

If you're interested in trying out Adore Box for yourself here is the code I promised you! HALFOFF will get you 50% off your first box. How awesome of a deal is that? (not valid the month of June, because they're almost sold out) And each month you get something new to try. I love that!
