Valentine's At-Home Date Idea

February 2018 // By Natalie Jean

With Valentine's Day coming up, I'm all about date night and cute outfits and candy and flowers. Normally, I like to celebrate with my friends for Galentine's Day and then my hubby on Valentine's Day or the weekend after but this year I just have all these outfits and date ideas and photos I want to share! So here we are.

Something that Mark and I have been doing lately is baking and cooking together. We've tried Home Chef multiple times in the past and really enjoyed the meals we make together (use my code for $30 off your first order!)

For this little "date" idea, we decided to decorate some cookies and then watch a movie while we ate them. I made a basic sugar cookie mix and then we decorated them with some vanilla icing and some cute candies and sprinkles on-theme with the holiday.

"Let's kiss!" I had this idea for a photo and the more I look at it the more I worry people with think its a pregnancy announcement ðŸ™ˆ We still aren't expecting, but this photo was fun and reminds me of the one we posted at Christmas when everyone lost their minds because they thought the same thing! Haha!

We had so much fun decorating cookies together and then watching a movie. You can do this date with your significant other, or even a friend because its so customizable. Bake cupcakes or a cake or even make granola bars! Just have fun in the kitchen together and then spend some time in one another's company enjoying the baked goods you made together!

Happy Valentine's Day! How are you spending it this year?

  2. Y'all are the cutest! I love this idea.

And I hate that being "of a certain age" just makes people expect you to be pregnant. So silly.

  3. You guys are killing me, this is so cute!! There's so much pressure sometimes to do something big, extravagant thing for Valentines day, but sometimes staying in and doing something simple like making cookies is the most fun!
