Winter Beauty Favorites

January is just about over and I'll be honest, I'm as confused as ever. According to my Timehop (a fun app that shows you social media posts from years prior) last year and the year before were both cold + snowy. In fact, this time last year it snowed so much I was stuck at a friend's house for the whole weekend while my husband was at home!

Today the high was 50 and the last 2 days were mostly rain. It doesn't feel like winter in South Central Pennsylvania at all! I had planned to share some of my beauty favorites for the harsh winter temperatures, but because the weather is so mild I haven't needed to buy them yet. Instead I wanted to share some of my staples, some new products I'm trying out, and the one thing every girl needs in the winter: lip scrub!

Okay so a few of these items I received as a perk from being an Influenster* but I fell in love with them! The first of these items is the haircare from L'oreal Paris. It smells good, keeps my hair table free and smooth, and it prevents it from drying out in the winter because it is sulfate free! The curling gel works great as well. If you're looking for a new hair product to try, I recommend this line. My hair is think and wavy so it works great for me, but they also have different kinds for oily hair, brittle hair, and color treated hair.

Next, the colossal Big Shot mascara from Maybelline. I also received this product from Influenster, and it's pretty great! It gives my eyelashes a bold definition and a little more volume than my last mascara.

Next is my foundation from Maybelline, Superstay Better Skin. I got this as a tester product years ago and fell in love with it. It is SPF 15, oil free, and blends so well. I recommend it to anyone looking for a new foundation.

Finally, face lotion. Lotion is crucial for any beauty routine, especially in a cold and dry winter. I have slightly sensitive skin so I use the moisturizing lotion from Olay for sensitive skin. I apply it every morning on my face and neck to prevent drying, wrinkles, and itchiness. (Don't you just hate when your skin gets dry and itchy in the winter???) Definitely a must have for me. I've been using it for about 4 years now.

Finally, my two newest favorites. Scrubs! I got this lip scrub from LUSH for a Christmas gift and it works wonders! It exfoliates my lips and gets those dry, dead skin cells outta here. I also started using Formulary 55 body polish.

Keeping my skin healthy and fresh feeling is really important to me in the winter because if I feel gross, I'll admit, I’m uncomfortable the whole day. So these products are my absolute favorites for this time of year.

What about you? I'd love to hear what products you're using this winter. Share in the comments below!
