Life, Lately.

Hey everyone! I hope you enjoyed reading the last few travel-themed and adventure guest posts while I was off getting married and enjoying my honeymoon! I loved reading all the tips for travel, stories about different countries, and creativity tips for photography and adventure too. Today I just wanted to write a little recap on the highlights of wedding planning, the honeymoon, and what to expect from A Tiny Traveler the next couple of weeks!

I'll be writing different posts about our wedding and our honeymoon for sure, but today I just wanted to share some of my favorite photos and spaz like a happy little newlywed. Because it's fantastic. Seriously.

First of all, let me just say thank you to everyone who prayed for us, blessed us with gifts, and shared in our special day! I also wanted to say thank you to everyone that watched on Periscope! We live-streamed the ceremony so my brother who is serving in Afghanistan could watch and be a part of it. It was really special and I am seriously so thankful for a platform that allowed us to share the ceremony with him. He also recorded a speech that we all watched during the toast and it had everyone in tears. God is so good to bring us together even though we're miles and miles apart.

So, let me just try to keep my word vomit to a minimum and share some of my favorite moments leading up to the wedding and highlights of the honeymoon (basically laying the groundwork for my series on our special day and the travel posts for Palm Springs)!

Wedding preparations leading up to the big day included painting signs that said "Today I Marry My Best Friend," "You Are My Beloved," "#goinggettis," "Today I Have Loved You For 1,590 Days," and a few others. I also made the seating chart out of an old window which was absolutely perfect. I can't wait to somehow incorporate the windows into our apartment décor! Last but not least, coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

Before I knew it, it was Friday and everyone was rushing around to finish up last minute details and get to the venue to start setting up. It only took us 2 hours to get everything placed and ready for the wedding day and then we were off to my home church to do a few run throughs of the ceremony! I had so much fun at the rehearsal and setting up because things were finally coming together. Yay! After we were done everything, we went to Mark's parents' house and had the rehearsal dinner. Betsy, her mom, and her aunt + uncle spent the afternoon cooking and setting up and it was absolutely beautiful! I loved every little thing about it! Here are a few photos:

We had a big dinner with s'mores after we took communion and sang some worship songs. It was a beautiful night of fellowship and relaxing with those we love. I seriously felt so blessed and such a sense of peace. It was such a beautiful evening.

Then after a night of basically no sleep, it was time for the wedding! Yay! It was such a beautiful day and we didn't have any problems or hiccups (at least not to my knowledge) and that made it all the more wonderful. I don't want to spoil any surprises for future wedding-related posts, but here are a few pictures from the wedding and the honeymoon to hold you guys over :)

I can't wait to share more about our wedding and honeymoon adventures here on A Tiny Traveler! Stay tuned!!
