a tribute to tying the knot // Summer

Thursday, Summer and I had the opportunity to go Lovely Bride in Philadelphia and it was so much fun! I didn't really give much thought to wedding dresses until this week to be honest. My great aunt is a fantastic seamstress and told me she could help me make my dress, so I tried some dresses on to get a feel for what I like and what looks good. It was so fun! And the dresses that Summer tried on were oh-so-pretty! I came close to tears a few times. We also got to visit Old City Coffee and had some tea while listening to Clair de Lune and talking about wedding plans.

Today, I'm going to share a little bit about Summer and Mike's engagement! This will be the second post in my tributes to tying the knot. You can read all about Kimi's here.

Mike and Summer have been dating for a little over two years and were smitten from the moment I introduced them... although they may deny it ;) They got engaged over Thanksgiving break and are getting married in June 2015 in Rochester, NY. I'm one of her bridesmaids and I'm so excited! They get along so well and have such great plans for their future.

Here are a few pictures of our day dress shopping and some of my favorite pictures of Mike and Summer. I'm so glad that Mark and I have them in our lives. We all get busy and have a ton going on, but when we're free and can have dinner together or go see a movie, it's always fun!
