Recently I received The Chia Cookbook by Janie Hoffman from Blogging for Books and I liked it so much that I got another copy for my mom for Christmas and she loves it too!


Have you ever heard of chia seeds? They are super healthy and my mom uses them in shakes, cookies, and cooking. I've always wondered about them and how you can cook with them because they're just little tiny seeds. The process seemed a little arduous in order to incorporate them in cooking so I never really tried to make anything with them. My mom sings their praises right along with kale and natural enzymes, so I thought that I'd finally look into them a little more. 

The book is smaller than most cookbooks but I loved that about it, because it can fit in a bookshelf or in your purse if you want to travel with it (for whatever reason. I don't know, maybe you love to look at recipes while waiting at the doctors office or something.) 
Anyway... the size is great.

The pictures are bright and clear and show a ton of yummy ways that you can eat chia seeds and use them in everyday foods like desserts, smoothies, and salads!




If you're looking for a cookbook that shows you a lot of classic recipes (and new ones too!) that you can add a healthy twist to, the chia cookbook is for you! And if you don't know where you can get chia seeds, check in the grains or organic section of your local grocery store or get my favorite brand here

  3. I love Chia seeds! I just got a bag at costco a few days ago because I like making smoothies or pudding with them. I haven't tried much else though, so I'll have to check out this book.

  4. Chia seeds are amazing!! I love using them as an egg replacer if we are out of eggs and I add them to smoothies, oatmeal, porridge, cookies and more. This cookbook sounds great!
