Grateful Heart Monday

Living life is one big adventure. You've got your lazy rivers, your giant mountains, your rocky paths, and your sunny meadows. You never can tell what each day will hold, but you have to keep going and sometimes you need little things to keep you happy! For me, reminding myself of the little things that I am thankful for really helps brighten my mood. If you haven't heard, I started the #365thankfuleveryday movement and decided to add my thankfulness to the Grateful Heart linkup too!

Tonight I am talking about friendship.

I am so incredibly thankful for friends. New and old, close and far, older and younger, I love them all! They're the people who support you. They're the people who make you laugh and make you cry. Yes, people are different and they have little arguments. Yes, people have different upbringings and life-goals. But we all need people to draw close to.

For me, my friends mean a ton. They make me the person I am today, and while that can be a bit concerning, I try to surround myself with people who build me up and shine a positive light in my life. So today, I am saying thank you for all the friendships that I am blessed to have.
For the friends who have challenged me to grow up, thank you!
For the friends who make me feel talented and beautiful, thank you!
For the friends that make me try new things and encourage me to be adventurous, thank you!
For the friends that remind me of my worth in Christ, thank you!
For the friends that share similar dreams and passions as I do and encourage me to keep being creative, thank you!
I am truly blessed.

“There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature.” -Jane Austen

“What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies.” ― Aristotle

“The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

  1. :) Such a happy post. I love the Jane Austen quote, and your pictures are so perfect! That last one of you all in the car simply defines good times with friends. Thanks so much for linking up today!

  2. Where would we be without our friends? They are the family we choose! Love your intro paragraph too. Great analogy! Stopping by from the Peony Project!

  3. Aww this is great :) I find it hard to sustain relationships because change is so constant. One thing I've learned though is that there are still a handful of people who will truly stick with you no matter the season, and they are true gifts indeed.

  5. I need more photos with my friends. I don't see them a lot since I moved away and sometimes I need a reminder that someone loves me :)
