a day off*

Today was my first day off since I've been home from college for summer break. I've been working, volunteering, and unpacking nonstop! It feels nice to have a breather of a day. Tuesday is a perfect day for it too, I think. I just got over the lull and slowness of Monday and can have a little time to myself before beginning the rest of my busy, work-filled week. How nice!

Here are some things that I was able to accomplish today:
Spent some time with the warm sun shining through the windows as I
worked on my blog, paid some bills, and watched a little Netflix.
Read through some pen pal letters and worked on responding.
I love snail mail!
Fixed my old camera that I got when antiquing last summer.
\\ it was damaged in the trip back home //
Nothing a little superglue and paint can't fix!
*enjoyed multiple cups of coffee*
Got to do a little more work on this piece of
Galadriel from LOTR. I am so excited to finish it!
In addition to all of this fun little things I cleaned the living room and did some dishes, went for a walk, and drank some more coffee (of course!). I am so thankful for the little things, because they get you to a place of calm and peace. God is so good and I need to constantly be thankful for these blessings I have. Here's something I wrote earlier today for my Tumblr.

"On your days off be sure to drink an extra cup of tea, read another chapter, draw another picture, wear socks that don’t match, and phone a friend. On your days off be sure to breathe a little deeper, sing a little louder, and smile a little wider. Catch up on rest, on joy, and on simplicity. Put all those little moments in your pocket and remember, when you have a day off, enjoy it."

So be sure to enjoy your days off and do a little bit of what you love!

"The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses HIs people with peace."
-Psalm 29:11
