redesigning my creative space.

When I'm at school it is sooooo important to me to have a little space where I can go and get homework done, or paint, or write. This space is my desk. The wall aside my desk is just as important, and up until yesterday it was very... bland. So, I decided to give it a makeover! If I had my way, I would paint it, but its school property, so I did the next best thing! I added pictures and paintings and magazine clippings to cover all the ugly off-white, chipping surface.

First I drew out what I wanted it to look like.

It might be a tad confusing, but you'll see the resemblance (hopefully) as you keep scrolling through pictures!
I added a few of my paintings to the wall, as well as some pictures of family and friends and a handmade shelf.

{the shelf is made from a sturdy, reinforced shoe box and some scrapbooking paper}

It was the perfect thing to add so I could make a little more room on my desk. The "shelf" is strong enough to hold my terrarium and colored pencils.

Next, I made sure that everything was straight and aesthetically pleasing. I think it turned out pretty great! Let me know what you think!

{I found this awesome printable calendar on Pinterest!}

Sorry that the pictures are a little blurry, I left my camera at home and had to use my cell phone. One of my roommates Jessica made a shelf from a shoebox and added some decorations to the space above her desk as well! We love to decorate :)
