twelve days of christmas: day ten.

 Just two more posts from completing twelve wonderful posts for the Christmas season!
{What fun!}
For this post you can expect something super duper fun!

A last minute dessert recipe for your family Christmas dinners tomorrow!
Chocolate covered Oreos make great gifts as well as tasty treats on Christmas afternoon.
Maybe even stocking stuffers? Its up to you!

What you'll need:
*Coconut oil (or vegetable shortening)
*Oreos (I used mint and regular)
*Parchment paper
*Chocolate chips, White chocolate chips, or baking chocolate squares
*A pot and a metal mixing bowl (or a microwave safe bowl)
*A fork
*A cookie sheet

I used a metal bowl over a boiling pot of water to melt the chocolate. You can also microwave the chocolate for 30 seconds and then stirring. Heat for 10 second increments and stir until melted smooth. For every 1.5-2 cups of chocolate chips, add 1 tbs. of coconut oil.

Heat until melted and dip the cookie in to coat either half or completely. If dipping completely, use a fork to get in and out of the chocolate.

Lay on parchment paper to cool. After the paper was full, I slid it on a cookie sheet and into the fridge. After they were completely cooled and the chocolate is solid, I put them in little gift bags.

Thankful time!
I've been blessed with the gift of a wonderful home church. Every message helps me grow, there are countless opportunities to volunteer and get involved, and wonderful friends and family :)
Tonight was the Christmas Eve service and it was full of carols, candle light, and cookies!
I'm so blessed to be a part of such a great congregation of believers and to be able to worship God and grow closer to Him with them.

 {yes I had two outfits!}

*Merry Christmas Everyone*
