twelve days of Christmas: day eight.

On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me...
a winter nails tutorial!

This morning I did my nails in preparation for the first of seven Christmas services at my church. Yes, you read that correctly! Seven services of cookies, carols, pictures, fellowship, and God's message of salvation through the sending of His Son.
I'll be volunteering with the RL Booth updating and promo-ing the students' Instagram pictures! If you're there, or a student in Real Life, make sure to tag your photos with #rlchristmas and be entered for a chance to win a $10 gift card to Starbucks.

Now without further ado, winter nails!
You'll need grey or silver polish, white polish, and a clear coat or top coat.
A thin pin is also helpful (safety pin, paper clip, sewing needle, etc.)

First I painted them with two coats of silver and let dry.

Then I used a pin and dipped it in white nail polish and made dots on my fingers to imitate falling snow. The thumb nail took a little more time. For the large thumb snowflake, make three lines coming from the right point at the top of your nail. Let the lines dry and then add diagonal lines across each of the three lines to make little "arms" on your snowflake.
After everything dries, cover with clear coat.

For today's appreciation, I'd like to say a special thank you to Mark Gettis. Mark is the love of my life, the apple of my eye!
Yes, its going to get cheesy.
Darling dearest, you encourage me every day. You help me see the good in myself and the good in others. You always push me to do better and create more. I love you so very much and am excited beyond words to see where God takes us!
Thank you for believing in me.
Thank you for your love.
Thank you for your friendship and for putting up with my craziness sometimes.
Thank you for all you do.
You're a hard worker and a great friend, even when you get a little absent minded sometimes ;)

We make a perfect pair.

I love you, stud.
